calatheas are known for their beautiful, multi-colored leaves. also referred to as the 'prayer plant' as the leaves moves according to the amount of light the leaves receive. 

water once a week. water 1/2 of a 16oz water bottle. bright, indirect light. this plant can tolerate some lower light areas. pet friendly. plant in a 6"or 8" planter. if the planter does not have a drain hole, line the planter with 1" of pea gravel before potting. plant does like humidity.
